Time is an abstract quality to measure a finite condition. Therefore within the Order, the divisions of day and night are referred to as planetary hours. The structure of this system is based on the rotation of the moon. One week (7 days) is equal to sunrise to high noon on the surface of the moon. A fortnight (14 days) is equal to sunrise to sunset on the surface of the moon. On month (28 days) is equal to 1 day/night on the surface of the moon. |
The association with the planets and their order each day is based on a clockwise rotation around a 7 pointed star. Starting with the uppermost point is Saturn descening clockwise to Sun (the first foundation) which in turn goes to the upper most arm, the moon. Moving to the opposite lower arm is Mars and across the lowest legs to Mercury continuing to the opposite upper most arm, is Jupiter. Returning downward to Venus (the second foundation) one completes and begins the cycle by rising to the uppermost point which is Saturn. |
